At a recent changeover dinner the Lions Club District Governor Tony Prior inducted the incoming executive committee of the Scone Lions.
Scone Lions have been serving the community for 46 years and guest of honour Mayor of Upper Hunter Shire Council, Barry Rose said the work and value of the Lions club in the community must not be undervalued.
“They do a wonderful job raising funds and serving the community,” Mayor Rose said.
He has attended and enjoyed 21 changeover dinners for Lions.
Reelected President Maria Musumeci said she was pleased with her new team.
Many of the new Committee have served in the past and are looking forward to another year of community projects and fundraising.
“The members really do work together as a team whilst keeping Lions goals foremost in all that they do for the club,” she said. President Musumeci said the Scone Lions are always on the lookout for new members to attend their bi-monthly meetings where up coming projects are discussed and planned.
